I am looking for some decent bank fishing spots for lake dunlap. I'm getting the fishing itch and need to find more places to wet my line, so i thought i would give Dunlap a try. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks again in advance!

Just about all the bank area on Lake Dunlap is private. There are a couple of good spots that are public. The first and most popular is the Faust Street Bridge. Lots of bank area and there is a nice spill way. Also the area right below the IH 35 Bridge by the boat ramp. You can catch some nice Bass,Sunnies, and Cats at those spots. Good luck.

Hey Banker or other knowledgeable party, is there any place to launch a canoe or kayak? ie, is that boat ramp public? Fees? Thanks!

The ramp under IH35 is public and free and launching a canoe or kayak should be no problem., also has plenty of parking there. You can get some good shad on that boat ramp in the summer. Im not to sure about where to go once you launch since I only bank it, I guess it depends on what youre looking to catch. There's all sorts of fish in dunlap though. I never bother with banking it on dunlap since it just doesn't seem to produce anything but bait for me.

Hey Banker or other knowledgeable party, is there any place to launch a canoe or kayak? ie, is that boat ramp public? Fees? Thanks! Super public ramp below IH 35 in New Braunfels. No fee! There is a private ramp called Shumans Beech. It cost $5.00 and is located on the upper part of the lake. The lake is Kayak friendly this time of year.
