the red route is simply down the main trailway to the overlook and then climbing down the rock bluff to the creek. the white route is through the woods and around the point of the bluff to the creek.

Where can I get minnows close to nails creek? And I've been wondering if they have been catching them on the marina, but I think I'd rather get out and walk, the exercise will do me good haha. the store at overlook has minnows. Overlook Store

Awesome, thank you all for the help, now if I can just get some fish to cooperate with me tomorrow I'll be in good shape ha. A day fishing always beats a day at work though. I'll post a report when we get back.

That report is dead on. There are not many White Bass being caught right now in the creeks, and won't be unless we get a good rain or two. That doesn't mean there aren't other fish to be caught though.

GREAT NEWS!!! Newmans Bottom is OPEN! All you guys dragging your yaks to the creek up from the lake can now drop in the Yegua at Newmans. From the parking lot to the low water crossing is about 1/4 mile down the trail. I've done this trip many times and it is easy compared to fighting the Dragon Yak. I've bought some wheels and am making another kayak cart to transport my yak down the trail. I hope to be there Saturday morning too so I'll see you all on the creek!

If I can drag my carcass out of bed Saturday I'll be there very early hopefully around daybreak. I might even camp at Nails Creek park Friday night if the boys are up for roughing it
