Hmm I was out last weekend and I thought it was improving I caught 4 small bass under 3 lbs and one about 4-5 lbs in a little over and hour . What were you using and where about were you fishing . I was right near the first bend casting to the small clumps of weed with a Jig in a dark blue color.

I first got hooked fishing at White Rock . My nephew and I ran into a guy by the bath house we saw him bring a bass in that had to be a good 7-8 lb . That area right by the Bath House always has some big ones during spring . My nephew and I have pulled 5-6 out of one little patch there time and time again . I may see you out there I'm heading to bass pro tonight to pick up some more jig trailers and gonna have to try them out.

Beat the banks of the creeks with football jigs. Use florocarbon cause the creek is crystal clear most of the time. Hit all the timber u can see.
Purple/ black Shad colors -silver shades Watermelon green paddle tails tx rigged.
I have seen a lot this year a couple bends up from lawthur and upstream from there. Like dart rail area has been good. West Bank is the side u want for most of the creek. All the major bends have deep holes.

I dont know I usually do better on the main lake then the creek. Right before winfrey point I always catch a few . Now for a few hours of fishing where I know ill catch some for sure I hit Mesquite creek or Spring creek in plano.

it is all about the shad movement, sure there will always be fish in the main lake. but when winter rolls in the shad head up the creek, several bends and sections of the creek are deeper than the main lake so the water temps will stay a little higher. I have been fishing both creeks (WRC and Dixon's branch) and the lake since 1974, the only things that have changed it are the Florida bass, and the lake is a lot dirtier now with all the road construction up north.

[quote=BigTEXmex] I did both Saturday and Sunday, around 2. Did not see you and that is hard to do. I am coaching my sons basketball team and games are on Saturday so no tourneys for awhile. The lower end of the lake had some clear water. I almost took the boat out Sunday afternoon after my "speedo" bike ride. Good luck and go have ribs at the purple cow.
