So I've been trying out different kinds of fishing line for my baitcasters. I fish for bass and catfish mostly. Right now I'm trying out the power pro heavy test line but I seem to bird nest every now and then because it's the braided line and it's so light. What would be a good heavy - ish line yall could recommend trying out. Thanks

Adjust your preload on the reel spool.

50# braid casts well #60-65 casts great! It don't dig in and still is only about #17-20 mono size. I have almost converted all my reels to this braid.

We use XPS Floro. in 25# test from Bass Pro. I am always throwing in the heavy cover in Mexico and it is the toughest line we have used.

I use 10 lb. through 50 lb. and just depending on application I'll use about a 2 foot clear leader.

I tried Power pro then Sufix 832, after the 832 I have never used PP again. I use everything from 50 to 130 and will be changing all my reels to braid when I run out of mono.

I don't know if it's a deal or not, just got a 3000yd. spool of Invizx from Amazon for $146.18 and free shipping. If you figure the 200yd. price per box, or the 1000yd price it seems you get a 1000yds. more for same price for 2000yds. That's how my math figures out, but I slept thru math alot.
