Another kid I grew up with stabbed a guy to death and dumped his body in a ditch. I remember growing up I had to walk the killer home at night because he was afraid of the dark.

Went to church with a guy who killed another in a drug related incident.
Kid I coached in basketball got involved in drugs and killed one of the other druggies he had a beef with for "breaking into" his house. Apparently saw him coming and hid in his room. When the guy came down the hall he shot him with a shotgun point blank.
Recently found out a guy who works (worked) for a vendor (and I talked to him a hundred times) killed a women and left her body in Rockwood Park. Again apparently drugs led to the killing. Looks like this one will go capital murder.

I worked with her, and she was a friend of my daughters.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

My primo Sammy. Probably has 25 years in prison, federal and TDC. Was living in Lubbock. One of his middlemen got burnt for a pretty good stash. Found out who they were and where they lived. Sometime in the AM he burnt there house down. When they came running out, he was waiting for them Dude is a Menace to Society.. Stone Cold Mexican mafia, texas syndicate, who he runs with. Needs to be locked up and throw away the key!
I'd Tack That!!

My brother killed his wife. It changed my life forever. My parents still grieve his choice.
It taught me a few things.
1). Never trust what you hear on the news, they don't tell what really happens 2). Don't be so quick to judge the killers family. My parents did it right and it still ended in tragedy. 3). these types of things affect more people than you can ever imagine. 4). You never quit asking why? 5). When the [censored] hits the fan you learn who your friends are.
I have been to see him in prison several times. What a waste on both accounts. I have seen some famous prisoners though. I cooked some brisket for a dinner at church one time. I remember sitting across the table from a couple and the wife smothered their 4 year old that same night. Still talk to the husband and consider him a very good friend. 1. Don't always trust the media! 2.NEVER trust the sheriff or any LEO of Smith County!!!!!!!!!
God loves you just as much as anybody else!!
Jesus offered His life as a gift for you. Please accept it!

When I first read this post I thought I glad I don't know anybody that killed someone, then I thought about it.
The guy that finally confessed to murder in the John Grisham book, Innocent man: Injustice in a small town, I remember him from Jr. High and high school back in Ada, Oklahoma. I think his name was Allen Gore. He was couple of years younger than I was and a nice guy as I recall. He murdered a girl and another guy I played baseball against a time or two ended up on death row for 14 years that finally got off. If you haven't read the book you should.
About 3 years or so back, one of my customers was convicted of murdering his wife. He lived in Katy, it was all over the Houston news, his name was Mike Cantu. I had been in a meeting with him a few days before and knew him quite well. He as a degreed Eng from A&M and I would have never guess it, seemed like a good guy.
I forgot the kids name, he was a troubled kid moved in with some people down the street when I was growing up in Ada, Okla. I guess I was around 12 or 13 when this kid moved in with this family and he was about two years younger than I was. This nice family tried to help him out, I didn't now much about the situation. He was a troubled kid that couldn't get a long. We moved outside of town shortly after he moved in and the next time I heard about him he was 16 and had rapped and killed an 80 year old woman with a ball peen hammer. All I remember about him was he was a piece of work and he couldn't get along with any of the kids in the neighborhood.
Thanks, Billy

A guy worked at a building supply company in Richardson that I frequent weekly. They hired him when he was paroled from prison and he worked there for about ten years. He was a pleasant person and a hard worker. He came home one day and caught his wife and another guy in bed. He killed them both with his bare hands. He served about seven years in prison for the act.

When i moved to my house in Barrigada Guam i had some people helping me move into it. This guy from across the street just shows up doesn't say a word to me or anything. Long hair all tattooed up local chamorro. After a couple of months i bring home some coconut crabs and i call him over he was pumped to see me with them. So long story short we started going to catch them together and kicking back under the mango tree every single day after work. Me him and two other old men. So one day the village vice mayor comes by and he's like whats up ben and we start talking and he says to me " Hey i see you all the time kicking back with john" I said ya". " You know who that guy is"? Uhh ya he's my friend john lol. " Bro he's a murderer". What lol and thats all he said. So one day john was drinking and starts talking and giving me his life story and come to find out he was a big time heroin dealer in Guam in the late 70s and early 80s. Two Italian mafia put a hit out on him and the guys that were supposed to do the hit came to my friend and told him what was up and he told them take their money and go. He went to the italians and killed them both. And he had a lot of other things that the cops don't know to this day that i won't bring up lol. But he got 6 life sentences and 135 years for a bunch of stuff besides the murders. Well after 25 years he got to appeal and there was a lot of flaws in his case so he got out in 2007. Completely changed man now. people freak out when they see a military guy kicking back with this dude but he's not the same person. Having him as a friend has been awesome here in Guam. Meeting his whole family learning about the culture and yes his rep does help when people find out he's my friend. He calls me his white son lol. It was hard to believe until i looked it up on the internet and there it was the whole story. But thats the REALLY shortened version.
