I had a feeling when you suggested it.... it would really end up meaning something. We both knew it was over.... so we took the last 2 hot beers in the cooler and shotgunned them. Made a toast to the lake and put it on the trailer. Last good trip I had.

I remember fishing all day and only seeing one or two boats. We were whacking them! I caught over 140 in one day by myself. I haven't been down there in over a year. I spent two or three months down there during the winter a couple years ago. The lake was full and the fishing was awesome. I will never forget the good times I spent down there. I don't know when it will return to that glory. But when it does, I hope I'm still able to hold a rod, because I'll head south. Thanks for posting Barrett. Brought back some great memories!
