Heard the same scenario on falcon hundreds of times as well as experienced it 2 weeks ago. Idk man, just keep at it and maybe you can make one bite.

Sure they were bass and not carp? Pretty common occurrence +1. If they're huge bass they're being chased by an even bigger alligator gar, but guessing they are carp.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

90% of the time a fish jumps out of the water, it's not a bass.

We did great at the dam. Get on the other side of the pump station and stay out about 30 - 40' from the rocks and drag a magnum watermelon fluke slow as you can. Use a big hook and you won't need a weight. Go all the way to the end of the dam then turn around and come back again. We caught a couple on the us side of the pump house but a lot more on the other side.

Go into Tigers. Fish 4ft to the bank with a shade color spinner bait with gold blades. That's all we could catch ANY fish on. (3 total in 3.5 days) No plastic bites at all.

Joel cover a lot of water with a spinnerbait and red trap. Work the creek edges with a mid diving crank like a deep lil N or spro fat papa. If your down on south end of the lake go to the back of Government, State Park and Salinillas. The above is the combo I am referring to. I caught a good one on the red lipless yesterday. Again the biggest piece of advice I can give ya is cover a lot of water and keep grinding. Most everyone that I talked to today goose egged or caught only 1 or 2 fish. One guide (Tim Griffin) got on em good for a 20 minute stretch and boated 13 fish for 34 and change with a 9.4 kicker. He had 3 fish prior and that hot stretch was at the tail end of the day. ......oh and I took a Best of luck, Jay

Joel, listen to Jay. I threw a spinnerbait all day for 3 fish. Then about 4:00 they turned on. 3 cast - 3 fish. Ended the day with 10 up to 4#s at 4:45.
