Going to fish LBJ last week of the month and looking for a few places to fish and patters for this time of year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's quite a bit of Eurasian Milfoil that's great to fish. Weightless flukes and Senkos work well along with a square bill crank. To my knowledge, the power plant isn't on at all. There are good boat docks to hit as well but mind you I never do that well out there so maybe someone will come along with better success than me.

Good luck. It's a pretty lake but the jet fleas and wake boats will drive you bonkers in the spring and summer. You should be fine these next couple of months.

Tight lines.

Thanks JacksonBean. I usually fish north and east so thought I would try some other waters.

I was there over the holidays and fished about 6 different days -some very cold - and most of the time all by myself on the lake. Water temps were as low as 46 up to 52. Fishing was generally slow, but some decent quality fish mixed in. I was able to catch quite a few LBJ dinks (1-2 pounds) on drop shots and shakey head worms. The bigger fish came on jigs, suspending jerk baits, and senkos fished slow. The milfoil is mostly dead and not holding fish. Rocky areas and mid to deeper docks produced best.

Hey SRB,

Just FYI..... My brother came of the water yesterday with a 6 pounder, a 4 pounder, and the normal 1s and 2s, all out of the milfoil across from Applehead. It's in the funky brown stage but still loaded with fish.

You might want to give it a try.
