what are thos things called that people use to chum, they cast it and it drops the chum held inside a capsule. how much are they

I like the spod. it casts really far. looks like a pleasure toy with holes in it but it puts a lot of bait out.

For creeks, smaller ponds, lakes, or fishing from the margins, I prefer the hand method. Back in my early days of Carp fishing, I used to mold bread balls around sweet corn and chunk it out. Worked great. Corn on bottom, some bread would float up. Surfacing fish showed me where they were. Eventually I replaced that with ground up bird seed, fish pellets, corn and use dirt/water from the swim and make chum balls and throw them out. Now days I use commercial offerings and a bait sling shot for margin fishing and use the spods/spombs for anything longer. Still surprises me even on somewhat new swims how little chum you really need.

the wacker blasters are great for chuming with method mix formed into a ball. its pretty much what I've used for the short sessions we like to fish.I've also used the spomb for nice accurate long distance particle chuming.The spombs are super accurate and glide on top of the water for high speed retrieval.
