Just curious! I haven't thought a name for mine yet but am interested to hear if any of you have named yours?

I haven't named them but call them by the model names. When I'm talking about my Ride 135 I call it my "Ride" so it sound like I'm calling it "My Ride". Like a motorcycle or something. If I named it I might call it "The Beast Slayer" or something like that but I like the sound of "My Ride".

I'm right there with Todd. I call it "The Coosa" or "The Pelican."

I have two Native Ultimate 14.5s. One is named "FrankenYak" because the bow was removed and reattached. Works like a charm.

I got the kayak in 2012, it arrived with some factory blemishes. Native replaced the blemished kayak but it had to be "rendered unusable" before the replacement was sent, and I had to provide proof it was not usable. Two seconds with the circular saw and it was destroyed, and I sent in the photo with the bow sawed off. I had intended to strip off all the usable parts and hardware and just cut up the rest of the kayak and take it to the trash, and then figured maybe I could reattach the bow. I had used a fine finishing blade on the saw so the cut edges were pretty smooth. The trick was holding the bow in place against the rest of the hull because there were compound curves involved--the curve from the bottom up to the gunwale and the curve lengthwise from the hull to the point of the bow. The cut bow also was now wider than the hull. It would take some good pressure to hold the cut edges together. Hence, the stainless steel straps and screws. Those held the bow tight against the hull and I did plastic welding on the inside and outside seams. I also wanted to leave the steel straps in place for strength because I didnt trust that much plastic welding out on open water. I sealed the screw holes with 3M marine sealant, tested the kayak in a friends swimming pool, fixed one small leak from a screw, and it works great. Ive had it out a number of times, and can still use the Adapt-a-Trak to attach the bow skirt. I had also cut out the blemished areas and sent them in, that involved two thwart tube openings and the area around around them. I used a plastic cutting board and a hole saw to make new thwart tube openings. It's not pretty but it's functional. The steel straps and screws remind me of the bolts in Frankensteins neck, hence FrankenYak. And now you know the rest of the story.
