So I love fishin and wanted to get out on eagle mountain as soon as I got my yak. But have to admit that going out by the dam on a windy day still makes it hard for me to totally relax and enjoy my fishing. I think that will come with time and experience though. I went out on the trinity today and that was more my speed....I think until I "flip my yak in my cousins pool" to kinda know what happens when disaster strikes these large lakes and boats will keep me a little on edge. Anyway I am really happy with my new yak and loved the flexibility of just pulling into spots no boats can get into and fishin. I love the isolation and the idea that normal boats can't get to the spots I'm at.....More exploring to do!....Here is today's catch...guess the whites are starting to hit the rivers..I have been waiting for this time of year! banana

That's cool. Good job. What part of the trinity did you fish? I've never had me kayak on that river but it's on my list.

Mineral Wells is a good one to try out on a yak. It is a no wake lake and the boat ramps have been shut down for a while.
I have gotten some decent size bass, cats, and crappie out of there.
