I went out on Conroe today from stowaway and fished inside that cove for most of the day. I noticed that along the bank there is some sort of grass growing probably about 20 ft out. Im not sure if this is good grass that will help the lake, I know its not hydrilla. Looked like it had some moss growing on it. Has anybody else seen it or know what it is?

Probably some of the native grass TPWD is tryin to plant. Better question is did it have any fish?

I saw the same thing in a small cove on the south end. It actually looks like grass that was growing on the bank. The lake is up 2' since the beginning of Oct. I also found a school of carp in the back of a creek and they were not feeding on the grass in that creek.

Normally, the carp will eat any grass as soon as it has water on it. I assume they were not eating it due to the time of year and water temp.

Ya, keep quite. You never know how the state will respond but they will respond. Just leaving things alone is the only "non-option" for the state! Remember the same state that spent my money eradicating grass also spent my money replanting grass! :-)

I didn't catch a thing all day, I only used a jig all day and am trying to gain confidence in it.

Time for another 10,000 grass carp to be released to eradicate this dangerous infestation of invasive vegetation.
