I have never tried them but I bet the ones out of the fall spawners taste the best.

I have never tried them but I bet the ones out of the fall spawners taste the best.
 I have eaten them my whole life. Fry them up just like fish. Kinda has a cornbread texture to it.

I just don't know on the crappie ..... but I do know I wouldn't eat no gar roe iffin I was you  no matter when they wuz spawning !
