Got my new GoPro the other day and would like some suggestions and feed back for the best mount. I'm wanting to put it on the passenger window.

I bought the suction cup mount and am a bit iffy of running with it. I actually had it fall off one day while fishing. That being said, get the float back door for it. When it does fall in the lake you'll be glad you did. I just got the roll cage mount and put it on my seat pedestal on the back deck and it works great. It give a great view of the front of the boat

I use a suction cup mount...as long as you give the cup a good lick she'll be good. havent had any problems with it falling off...make runs with it on all the time!

side of your head, it is taping where you are looking. also better at looking down towards water as fish comes up and you get him in. also can be better not showing background giving away spot. best to use wide angle.

Be careful with the suction cup mount and float used together . The float would not float the old go pro at all , my first one is on the bottom of grapevine. You could make a small teather cable to be safe if it falls.

I mounted it on a small ram mount. Won't come off now.

The newer suction cup is much better than previous version. That being said a teather is always good insurance. Best bet is the sticky and set them up in various locations.

Also the new Jaws clamp is best all around tool if you're moving it around a lot for various angles.

Used the suction cup mount on two separate occasions on fork. Both times there was significant chop. Test the strength of the mount by pulling it by hand. If nothing moves with your weight, nothing will move based on the weight of the go pro.

These are perfect if you are wanting to add a teather.

Like others said before, the GoPro Jaws clamp is really the most universal one I've touched, and it appears like it's going to be able to handle some serious abuse for a very long time. RAM makes a ball mount that fits in your (if you have them) existing RAM mounts and those feel as sturdy as RAM mounts always do. In addition, RAM makes their own suction mount that has better reviews than GoPro's does.

I have the Ram mount suction and the magnetic Ram mount. The suction mount is great at 65 MPH it never came off all day.

Hands down it's the the Jaws Clamp. The new suction cup mount is a definite improvement over the past design. Best investment for a boater is the floaty backdoor regardless of the mount design you choose.
