I am looking for a decently priced high capacity spool low profile bait cast reel for use with a Tica 8' Dolphin Surf MH Rod. My goal with it is to stand on the end of the Jetties (Packery Channel Jetties CC) and cast farther than I ever could to reach bigger fish. I did this this past year with a 7'6" bass set up and caught a 36" Spanish Mackerel and loved it. I love my baitcast low profile reels so if yall could recommend one that is under 250 bucks and can either hold a lot of line of is really light with resistance to saltwater that would be ideal. I am looking at the Abu Garcia NaCl right now.

if you have a better rod recommendation i will take a look at it. but i dont want to go over 120 bucks and it has to be a M or MH action. One piece preferred

I just picked up a couple of the lower geared, high capacity spool Pro Qualifiers from Bass Pro, they were on sale for $80, but they are a great buy at their regular $100.

The 4.7:1 and 5.2:1 gear ratios come in at 150 yrds of 12lb, which is pretty high capacity for a low profile reel. That is a heck of a lot of 20 or 30 lb braid.

My first time out with them had me catching big black drum on them, and they worked great.

Yeah thanks I just found one I kinda like although I think I can find something better. The Okuma Citrix 350 which hold 250 yards of 14lb test, has 25lbs of drag, 7+1 bearings and is only 164$ it is also has 6.4 gear ratio. It weighs 11 oz but I have held bigger.

I am extremely grateful for your help but I am staying away from Bass Pro, Academy, Dicks, and Gander Mountain Brands due to the fact that I cant get parts to fix them without sending them to there respected stores for service. I went all out one year and got 4 BPS extreme reels and 2 of them are now out of commission.

i would haunt the classifieds on some of these web sites for a curado 300 or a ABU 6500 both great casting reels with big line capacity and a used one would be in your budget with money left over. JMO!

I have a old c200 that holds a ton of 20lb braid. Look at penn squall level wind I think they have a 15 that's small but would be great as a jetty caster

I don't know what size line your going to run. But I got a chance to test the Lews inshore BB1 and you can toss that thing a mile. If you want line cap go with the BB2 wide spool it costs about the same as the citrix.

Did you say " high capacity spool low profile"? I think that's like asking for a soft shootin 300 magnum isn't it?

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

+1, its not low profile, but a great reel for salt water, especially the C3 or C4.
