Locals and familiars have run the Kickapoo channel for as longs as I can remember as long as the water was up, I grew up out that way. But I can understand why some would get nervous about it, it does look intimidating. As far as running wide open under the bridge, I have only seen that a few times and if a GW saw it going on it would be paid for dearly.

All I know every week someone drowned around here. Even grapevine.

At joe pool they had life jackets to use at lynn park. after 1 week 22 were stolen.

We have a winner

Avoid if all possible during the summer! More idiots you could count.

Conroe has it share of idiots too. Any of the big lakes are nasty when the wind blows. To many stump mine fields to list. I've bent prop and or shafts on Rayburn, Conroe, Fork, Toledo, choke and Lake Corpus Christi off the top of my head. The north end of lake Corpus Christi going up the Nueces River is not for the weak hearted. Rayburn above 147 with low water is not easy. I would say Lake Texanna but you can't get going fast enough to hit anything hard enough to do to much damage. Every time I drive over Texanna look at all those stumps and can't believe I had a boat in the middle of that [censored] in the 80's fishing for an 8 dollar trophy.

Thanks, Billy

It's not the lake. It's the people that don't respect water or rules

Palestine for boat damage any day.

And I too have seen people run north of the bridge, I am idling as soon as I leave the power lines. Still managed to get stuck more times than I can count.

Surprised no one mentioned choke canyon wind has sunk boats at the ramp even .second have you seen the size of those gators ? Wild hogs , javelinas and every poisonous snake you can think of at the ramps and on most every bank there . Once i get in my boat i dont get out . Only good news is you wont see any skiers or jet fleas on this lake no one is that crazy!

Also +1 on falcon a guy was killed there and fisherman have been held at gunpoint .
