I'm in Balch Springs off I-20 and IH635. If something causes this to fall through I have everything including SS nuts, washers and bolts or rivets. I will not be available after 1/13/14 for about a month. What hatch are you going with?

I've had very good results with the Hobbie twist lock hatches.

t, i put this hatch in myself. was nice when i needed 2 get inside the hull for rigging but i never used it on the water. i had plans to use it to stow my keys wallet n cell phone while on the water. found out post install that it was too low in the yak to access without taking in water. those screw type hatches dont seal right easily & are hard to unscrew when dirty. unless the threads and gasket are kept clean and lubed you wont be opening and closing it much IMO. it worked well for rigging and accessing interior OFF the water though. i jigsawed my hole for this hatch. use 100% silicone or marine goop and all stainless hardware. use plenty and trim it with razor blade after it cures. remember!!! you can always cut a little more but you wont be able to add plastic back once u cut. so, take your time and measure twice before u cut. recommend u then check it again after a break one more time. if you get frustrated along the way, take a break and come back to it with a fresh mind. if u get in a rush to get it done it will likely cost you$ good luck!-)

I put teflon tape on the threads and no prob.
