I use Grande Bass rattlesnakes, 4" flukes, or Hag's Tornadoes in shallow water. Especially if water is 4-5' deep with lots of grass a foot or two under the surface. Killer technique.

Did really well with the mojo post spawn and summer. Craws that fall with pincers up are good baits for the mojo. Also had good luck with ring fry and tubes.

I use it around the spawn. I'm not any good at seeing the beds or fish. This allows me to back off an area and cover it thoroughly. A 4" lizard or Baby Brush Hog are my first two choices.
