Looking at getting a set of Simms, I can't decide between the Contender or Prodry. Anyone have either set? Would also like pros/cons.

I love mine also have a pair of 100mph and what I have noticed between the two is if your in a pretty heavy rain all day the 100mph will leak around the legs and from casting the water will run down your wrist inside. The 100mph is heavier to me, simms is extremely light. The simms does none of that and I do not have a con. on simms, but the price they are pricy. Not sure witch ones I got but they were around $800-900. I also have there gloves to fish in cold with the fingers cut off and are the best I have found to fish in, cause I cant stand fishing in gloves. Simms you will stay dry all day no matter how hard it rains.

I have the PAC lite gear, it's way cheaper and I can wear it in the summer too.

I got it one size too big so I can wear warm clothes under in winter.

Never been wet in it yet, have had partners in back of boat in everything under the sun get wet.

I want some of the pro dry too but it's costly.

Last year ABA had them 1/2 off with their logo on it, don't know if that deal is still on might look into that.

We use the Simms Pro Dry. They are by far the best rain suit I have ever used! They are so light weight you can hardly tell you are wearing them. They have stretch panels built into them so there is no binding. I highly recommend them if you want to stay dry and comfortable. I bought a slightly larger size and wear insulated clothes under them if it's cold.
