Curious if anyone has been recently and wanted to know how the water levels were? Last year was horrible and I know they've had some rain the last couple months. Thanks

Still horrible. LCRA still releasing water and making up excuses. Virtually zero flow. Currently Buchanan is at 988.97. Last January we were at 991.11 and in feb 992.08 and in Mar 991.59. Worse than last year with more rain. go figure.

Damn that answers that. Well still plenty of time between now and March but I guess I'll keep an eye out. We went last year and other than the scenery the river was a bust. Sure had higher expectations with the rain. Thanks for the update.

Stage is simply the measure of a river's height. At Colorado Bend, it usually doesn't correspond with the natural bottom of the channel since the riverbed changes over time. Instead, the stage is determined from a benchmark where all the measurements are taken. I'm not exactly sure where the gauge is physically located in Bend, but typically, these readings are set below the natural bottom of the channel.

Since fishing is a sport, I guess that makes us athletes...
