went out again yesterday and I should have stayed home. caught 3 throw backs, and about 2 dozen shad. There were a lot of people there saw maybe 8 keepers caught all day, but they were good ones.

Color - Has to have chartreuse and blue in it some where and were about 1 foot off bottom

Will be going again this week, hopefully the good ones will be biting

So the winsboro barge has been sucking too? Today was a better day on Lewisville than it has been the psst cpl weeks. Plenty of keepers were being caught during the day, however it still seems to be shutting off at night.

I hate fishing and texas, but love tff.

Friend went yesterday. He said it was still slow. Lots of shad still around. Four people fishing and he caught 4. The other 3 had 3 between them. Slow start this year.

Belinda got an email last night from a customer that said they tore them up there on a Lil' Fry in Girls Nite Out and everyone was crowding them and not catching till they shared some baits.

That lil' fry is my favorite style with the crappie stinger second...Man, I hammered the fish at most all day with that Fort Knox color, and that silver glitter one (can't recall the name) was working pretty good, as well. That Purple looking one was working in low light (prior to sunup and before dark) situations. And ole Jigum's Guru, surprised me...I didn't believe you could catch a fish with that color...but for a while they were the ticket from about (3pm to 4:30pm)...keep in mind, I was using two rods...One with the fort Knox and the other testing everything else. Ole Laner had a clear one with large silver flakes and a chart tail that flailed them for a while (I took it off to try other baits.)

As you'll remember, my Fav was the stinger. Now my tandem rig has a Lil' Fry ontop & a Slab Bug on the bottom, Most fish come off the Lil' Fry, but 85% of the Bigguns come off the Bug.

Hmmm, I will have to set up a rod that way and give it a drop next time I go out. I fished single jigs most of the day on this last outing. Ole double drop had a few instances where he was catching on both jigs at once.
