Trout Tourneyment ( fly fishing only )


This is a feeler post, not set in stone.


A lot of y'all have asked if I could put together a small tourney for the LMF. I have hosted a lot of sandbass and crappie tourneys here in Dallas, and they are a lot of fun.

I picked this date due to they stock 2 days before.

Don't quote me and I'm not saying anything negative, but I was told the LMF Federation hosts the One Fly Tourney, but you have to be a member.

So for the peeps that would love to be a member of the LMRF, but don't have the time, we can have our own party.

We can have a Division 1 & Division 2.

D1 for newbies
D2 for advanced

D1 for anyone
D2 for advanced fly fisherman that want to play against me.

If we don't get enough to make a D2 I will just host and help y'all out.

I don't have rules or regs yet. If there is enough intrest, I'll set it up. I'm sure I can get a bunch of White River Products and many other donations- for after party drawings or for winning spots. Bass Pro Shops have been very generous in past tourneys.

If another date would be better, I hate to say it, but sometime during spring break to get more peeps we can move the date. Go ahead and post in here any other questions, ideas, or concerns. If enough want to play, I'll set it up.

Around January 20 th I'll decided if its worth it depending on how many of y'all wanna go. Need 20 plus for donations to roll in for drawings and prizes.

I have about 5 non TFF members committing via texts.

I would be all over this, but would need another date. I will be in Jackson hole Wyoming the weekend of the 8th. If you come to realize that another date would work better, count me in.

I put a maybe. I would love to but I have to see what all is going on. Spring can be verrrrrryyyy busy for me depending on weather.

If we get to go, y'all can laugh at me but have to promise not to start singing the Willy Wonka Oompa song when I put on my neoprene waders. You know what karma can be and it is always sh$ts and giggles until someone giggles and sh$ts.

Can we also have a category for the worst tangle in a leader? I know I can win that.

Smack in the middle of Tax season, but I can stay out of the office one weekend in March. No one wants to be in the park for Spring Break...... too frustrating.

I have a question,

How are we going to know a winner if you can only have one bow in possesion 20" and above in the red zone?

Me and a couple other guys would be interested. Will it be a one fly?
