marked a big shad school at the lake just before sunrise this morning, threw a perfect throw with the net and as soon as i felt it coming up i felt that weight and knew i had alot of fish, as it surfaced i saw all the white bellies and thought i had a full net of gizzards but as i put it in the boat was horrified at what i caught, took me an hour to get a total of 58 channels and blues from two inches to half pounders, the good thing is that there was little damage to my net and all fish made it back into the lake alive, i think i poked my hand on there fins a couple of times but it was so cold i never felt the sting, all the slime in the net actually worked to my advantage and made the process of getting them untangled a little easier.

Man I would of kept some....lol

Me and DDR did that on worth several years ago.

That happened to me at lake worth last year. I just threw the cast net away after getting the cats out... i also got into a school of gaspergous that way.

Clipping the dorsal that does most of the damage helps. That's way more than I've ever dealt with though. Yikes.

Now that's a story to tell the grandkids in the future. "Ol grandpa caught 58 cats in one cast!"
