Sweet corn straight out of the can Absolutely! It's a good, cheap, effective bait that you can buy most everywhere. It will also work on catfish, sunfish, and fresh-water trout.

Corn is King. We soak field corn in water overnight to soften just enough to run hook through white part. Stays on until bit, unlike soft canned corn.

We used to make dough balls with flour, water, peanut butter, and corn flakes. Wish I could remember the recipe better but I'm pretty sure you could mix all that together, ball it up and refrigerate it and it would work

Give this mix a try....I think you'll find you'll get pretty spectacular results through spring and summer. Will work in winter if fished over a bed of corn. 1 Jar smooth peanut butter 3 tablespoons of garlic powder 2 tablespoons of honey 3 tablespoons of liquid smoke
Mix together and then bind with flour until you get the consistency you like.
Great for summer carp and the catfish love it too.Found it on youtube and it really does work where I fish.
