Looks like an interesting kayak, the Big Rig by Jackson. Anyone here have one? Would like to read some reviews of this kayak. Also, who has them in stock? Would not mind trying one out. Will there be any at the show coming up in Dallas? A lot of new innovations keep coming out for the kayaker. Decisions, decisions.
Thanks

I've been so busy with work, I haven't tried one out yet since Kayak Instruction Inc. got some in stock. Give Dave a call to try one out, there's a few more in stock.

I am hoping to have one very soon. That is if the test ride goes well.

I love my Cuda 14. But if I had known this battle ship was coming out, I would have waited on it.
Great looking boat!

Got a chance to try them out at dealer summit, lots of room and storage for sure. Comes Power Pole ready and has the new Lumbar for the seat. Got mine Sunday , went with Yellow Jacket that is back as a standard color.

You are more than welcome to try out if in the Plano area, just send me a pm

To answer the one question the bar is a stand assist, comes standard on kayak.

For report, did fish out of the one at dealer summit and was extremely impressed with both room and stability.

Power Pole option was installed and this is extremely nice as well.

Just got back from my first outing in the Big Rig. I'm impressed with it. I've owned the Coosa, Cuda 12, and the Cuda 14 but this is my favorite fishing kayak that Jackson has made so far.

Paddles surprisingly well for a big boat. Has a good balance of tracking and maneuverability. Shallow draft. Stability is awesome. The drag chain/rudder combo is perfect for boat and drift positioning. The storage is great for carrying camping gear. And I prefer it's open deck design.

Only two negatives I found.......and I can accept them in order to have all of the other positives.

The first was that I had to buy a 250cm paddle for it. My 240cm wasn't long enough for me with the seat in the high position. It worked, but paddle turbulence was high because the blade was just under the water's surface. Just too loud for a stealthy approach.

The second is the weight. She's BIG, but not unmanageable. Kinda goes with the territory.

Thanks for the reports. Looks like a great kayak. Duane with TG Canoe and Kayak on the Texaskayakfisherman forum did a great review of the kayak. You all may want to check it out.
