This time of year. Texoma Jon Hoppis is hard to beat. He is the dead sticking master.

Not to take anything away from all the other guides on the lake, and I know there are many good ones. But yessir.....J.D. is a class act.

Lots of good choices if you want to bait fish with shad or bait fish with lures(deadstick) both of which I think are a lot of fun but if you want to catch BIG fish casting lures I think Striper Express is the best.

Tim Cline, J.D. Lyle both great guides and good with kids. Stay away from Dan Barnett especially if you are taking kids. Worst attidute/manners and no attention to customer service on the lake. He's all about me how great I am and it sucks to be you. I really don't see how he has lasted this long.

Onefish,
I have to give you credit for being consistent! You get that guide pretty good every time. I was laughing the other day because I was launching out of Preston Shores, and there he was leaving out with a group. Your multiple negative reports immediately popped into my head.

I have to throw in Stephen with striper express, sorry if I got his name wrong but he also has his own service called striper hunter. My brothers and I went Monday and killed them, caught our overs quick then even manages quite a few box fish and just had a great time. Biggest fish caught was a 12 pounder and quite a few 8 to 10 pounders. Really good guide, really clean boat, nice gear and very informative. Highly Recommend him. Grant
