I asked the bass guys and I'll ask yall to. I got a HB788ciHD/DI for Christmas and evidently I mounted the transducer wrong. Everything works great until I get over 7 mph and then I lose the sonar. I mounted it the starboard side of the transom on a Skeeter SX180. Any Skeeter owners have this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

This skeeter does not have a straight transom. Like a lot of boats it has a recessed area under the transom where the plug and livewell drain are located. I think this is where I'm getting the turbulence. Don't know how to post a pic. Going to the local Skeeter dealer tomorrow and see where they mount the transducer. If they can't help, I'll find some way to post a pic. Thanks.

I bet you are going to need a Y cable and a shoot thru hull transducer from Humminbird.

I have a Skeeter also, Bobcat1 is correct, best bet is the Y cable and a shoot thru the hull. My transducer is mounted off of my jackplate.
