I cant help but to gravitate towards Basscat every time I start looking at skeeters! I can't help it! I think the need for speed is surfacing! Cant do the lightweight tator chip Allison/Bullet thing again. (like a tator chip skipping across the water). Ranger... well, my back starts hurting just searching google for those boats.... Triton... who wants to drive through a chine everytime you want to run 75%+ throttle... Legend... blah, I could find an older Cobra and have the same thing. and these PRICES!!! SMH!!! the market has soared the prices astronomically! An offshore boat is almost as cheap as a bass boat now! and some of those have twin engines!!!

If I didn't run a bug I'd run a cat. Mainly because I'd be dealing with Tommy Yetts and crew at Rockwall Marine. But I am a bug man through and through.

I did. and you are right! its the right price. I'm still trying to find a x-ray job for now. everyone is on a hiring freeze until Jan 1. its very frustrating. Then gotta play catch-back-up on some bills, THEN possibly a boat. LOL! I will be dream-browsing until then. frown

I could drive to Cali and get a 2007 20i for $19k, put a little love into it... and have a good boat. my timing is off on finances right now, though. dangit.

+1 on Tommy and the crew at Rockwall Marine. I just bought a Cat from them a couple of months ago and could not be happier. Definitely a great group of folks!

Tommy is awesome. Hes about to get my old blue skeeter to look at once he opens back up from the holidays. need some work done to it, insurance will probably total it. it was a good crappie boat, but that was about it.

Ronnie, I know how you feel. There are boats that are three years old out there that people think are worth 90% of what they sold new for. Don't they understand that depreciation applies to them too no matter how purdy it is? Seems like there are some fair prices on the older models but I have an older model already. If you haven't rode the new Tritons yet you will be surprised. They are as good a ride as any.

I've been looking too for quiet a while and right now I've shut it down due to the fact I spent the money I had saved up for a down payment recovering from knee surgery; that was a total surprise, so I get to start all over again......I gravitate toward ZX Skeeters a while then, Bass Cats, 100 series Rangers, Legends and Phoenix's every once in a while for new rigs. I also get into the used boat mood ever so often but don't know if I'll do that unless I can find one that is cheap and still has a warranty. I have a reputation for hurting motors so that is why I'm leaning new or kind of new......

I've been in every manufacturer there is and there are only 2 that I will say are good over-all boats

All others give up something to gain other things too much.
