You'll need one transducer to get set up and rolling. Both units can link to the same transducer. If you want sonar at high speeds then you'll need to mount a thru hull transducer and buy you a Y cable to split your signal between the SI transducer and the sonar transducer.

As far as learning the units, I think you'll figure it out. Since you're already accustomed to reading SI, I think you'll figure out the new buttons and screens. Had you not ever seen SI before then I might say you could get overwhelmed.

Learn to use them and you won't regret it!

So you got no transducers or power cables with them???

If so you will need at a minimum
2x power cables obviously
2 sonar transducers ( I would get two puck style one for troller and one in hull
One or two si transducers, only two if you want to see side scan from the troller, one if you don't mind seeing the side scan that's taking readings from the rear up front.
And one enthernet cable if you want to link the units.

No y cable necessary

Very easy to set up and use, the touch features are very nice

I have 2 skimmer transducers that just came out of the box of my new Touch 7's and won't be using them. Lowrance no longer will let you trade for puck transducers. They give you 1/2 off new ones.

PM me if interested.
