I am another Dallas vet that got a defib and bypass at the Dallas VA. I trust the VA to take care of me. Just remember to NOT cross your legs in your hospital bed or nurse ratchet will remind you forcefully LOL. Good luck and merry Christmas and have a happy new year.

Id rather do it at the va but they cant seem to be able to get me in till march , dr leatherman says it could b dangerous waiting, im kinda lost as to how he can say I need a triple bypass just by stress test. Va dr says no way to even know where blickage is or how much without a heart cat done.

payers sent my dad had a double bypass and it cost him 40,000 to 50,000
I never know when it will be my last time to fish and fishing is what I live for!

I am not sure about your specific problem, but I can say that Dr. Letherman is top notch in his field. He worked on my dad and we were very impressed with him.

he is saying triple bypass. 1st thing is a groin insertion where they go up into the heart to find the blockage. I just don't understand how I can feel so good yet have a problem. Only reason I went for test is I can't walk up a boat ramp without giving out. Last time I walked up a ramp I had to stay in bed for 2 days I was so week, also had blurred vision and hell of a time breathing.
