Well, Merry Christmas to all the forum folk from LTGS! Hope everyone has a good'en and gets to spend lots of time with family and friends like we are.

It's a great time to reflect back on what really matters in life.
Fishing on Twok has been up and down here lately. Gettin' lots of reports of guys getting skunked on the whites and stripes. And, on the flip side, the blues are turning on.
In reality, the water is COLD. A balmy 46 degrees at the time of this report. And, when the water gets that cold fish do some weird and strange things.
Blue cats are all over the place. I've seen them caught as shallow as 2ft in the last week and as deep as 50+. Fresh cut shad and buffalo are baits of choice either drifted or up on anchor. We've personally seen lots of 30lb-40lb fish in our boats over the last few weeks...and even a few in the 50's.
White Bass and Hybrid Stripes....and even ole' Striper were biting very good a week or so ago. During this last arctic blast our water cooled off and the bite has become fickle. One day you're a hero..the next not so much. If the water can hang steady at 48 or above the fishing is great. Below that and it's spotty. The DeadStick is king...working flukes w/ hardly any action from 20-30ft fished over 40+ FOW. Glow and Chartruse seem to be colors they like.
We did catch about 6" of lake level from this past rain. That will go down as the most significant increase this year. With that, the lake is STILL very dangerous if you don't know where you are going.
We have a few weekends available in both Jan n' Feb if you're wanting to stretch the string.

Good luck out there and God Bless.
Merry Christmas everyone.
