im new to carp fishing , but im catching on pretty quick, went to brushy creek and fished the lake/pond on saltless canned corn and managed to catch 7 carp in a couple hours. should have been 11 but im still new to the sport and some of the carp managed to slip away. It was a new experience, but i still felt like i had a decent day of fishing. I didnt have any way to chum so i had to throw the corn by hand so i probably only fished about 20 ft off the bank, a couple of the fish were over 24 inches and were probably 10 if not more pounds. if anyone from the austin area wants to fish with me pm me. btw the conditions were fairly cold 40-55 degrees, warmed up by the time i packed up. and the water level was fairly high due to rain the previous night. so the conditions werent the best but the fish still bite.

You have done well. I have not caught a carp since last year. I have been catching the heck out of the blue catfish though. Your catch is impressive. You don't have to fish far out if you can catch them close. I the houston canals I catch them 6 feet out and they still run line out. Hand tossing out the canned corn has been the method for decades and it still produces.
