Just got clearance from the wife, Christmas Eve and all. I will be out there on Tuesday morning. Probably 7 or 8. Anybody else want to go catch some Crappie?

Made the long paddle into the Yegua with Chris Stinkbob. Hector UltraLite84 met up with us in the creek about a half hour later, and the three of us enjoyed a beautiful day out on the water. Its just too bad the fish werent biting, not at all, not even a little. smirk

Okso maybe they were biting a little. grin

Nice meeting you Chris. And nice seeing you out there again Hector.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Somerville TFFers!

I might get to go sometime this coming weekend if we don't go deer hunting. Are you guys paddling at all or just dragging the yaks all the way to the creek? Do you swing wide?

We swing out wide. It's about half paddling, half dragging. The airboats have helped by making several paths through the brush. The hardest part is finding the mouth once you get close, but the water is flowing just enough that you can use it as a guide.

Good luck this weekend if you go. I may go again New Years Day.

Has anyone tried jardelle creek? And just curious if my bass boat might be able to reach it?

ain't no way you are getting anything up Jerdelle from the lake, not enough water yet. I don't believe there would be many fish up there either since it was dry all summer. Same thing with Cedar and Birch creek too. We really need another big rain soon or this year won't be much for creek fishing..

It is tough getting in the creek with a yak but the fishing was good. It was nice to meet you jsinn01 how did you do? I got 25 keepers and left around 12:30.
