I just relocated to Houston, TX and found that lakes of Danbury is a good place to fish.

Does anyone know how I can join the club or lake? I searched online but only saw the fish farm site and no where to register.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the new owner did away with the membership stuff.

Last I heard the property had been sold, and there are no more memberships. I don't think it's even called lakes of Danbury anymore. That was an incredible place. It's been about 10 years since I've been there tho. I'd be interested to hear other input as well

Pretty sure it's closed to fishing now.

Give the number on the website a call after holidays and ask though!

Check out Bieri Lakes, in the same area and some greay fishing.

The Lakes of Danbury was sold and is closed. No idea what the new owner(s) doing with the property, if anything. The club was comprised of 327 acres. I don't know if Danbury Fish Farms (880 acres) is still in operation or not.

Kenny Zwahr sold the Lakes of Danbury to Jim Thompson and his wife many years ago. Kenny and his wife moved to North Carolina. Jim tried his best to make a go of it, but never enjoyed sustained success with the fishing club.

I was a member and guided there in the early and mid 90's. It was one of the greatest bass fishing experiences anywhere. That is until they sold 1,000 bass that averaged 7 lbs each to a wealthy rancher in South Texas. Those fish came out of the club lakes. Fishing sucked after that and so did the club.

"Fishbreeder" on here will know what has become of the place. He set up Danbury Fish Farms for Kenny back in the 80's.

Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.
