Hello,
I live in Greenville, Texas an hour outside of Dallas. I have plenty of places to go carp fishing in the metroplex and Lake Fork. I have read quite a bit. I have a kayak. I have the desire. I don't have a teacher. I was curious if someone in the area would be willing to take me out and show me some basics. I would LOVE to get a jump start. I'm low maintenance. Not looking to waste your time or spend a lifetime, just a little of your time. Please let me know. 903.456.9303 cell. gilmores3009@sbcglobal.net Thank you. Scott

Scott, I live in Mineola, about 45 minutes south of you. I have moved from the metroplex and have found a few places around Mineola to carp fish. I do the bank fishing thing with the Euro gear. I would be glad to help you get started. Fishing can be a little tough during the winter but it is do-able. I will send you private message. If you have't had a private message before, it will show as a flashing flag next to the my stuff topic at the top. Click on that.

Welcome to the forum.. welcome

Scott,

I think you've come to the right place. There's a large group that fishes on here from North Texas and some more should be responding to you soon.

Hiya Scott, the best way to get and keep in contact with the North Texas crew is through the Wild Carp Club North Texas page on Facebook. I know we'd be more than happy to share the bank with you and show you the ropes. We also have about 8 events a year that are semi-organized social fish-ins, no membership or dues required.
