Does anyone know if there are carp or buffalo in this area, please let me know. The only info I get is about redfish or flounder. They are good fish, but neither are what I'm after. I am looking for some action in that area. There is plenty of bank space and access to water, just hoping I can get some carp or a buff out of there.

Well, I should have fished there before but never had the chance. I went out there the other day to try out the alarms. I baited up and set up. I had one good run but no bite. The alarms worked great. I wish I knew how to put a pic on here but I'm not pc savvy. The water was clear and the river looked promising. I will continue to fish that spot since there is plenty of room for many anglers. I think there are some big fish in there with my name on them.

Thanks for the report John. Maybe I'll try to meet you out there one day if our schedules ever line up. Glad to see you're out fishing again.

I have been fishing around winnie, but no luck. atleast no carp or buffs. I was told there was some around here but nothing yet. I may try Lake Anahuac, They have a huge bowfishing tournament. I may have to sneak in and try my luck.

Good luck John! Keep it up. We're coming out to Beaumont again at least once next year for the overnight. I hope you can make it there with advance notice.

I should. I got plenty sick time! Maybe we can meet at the Trinity river bridge for a fish in, it's less distance for most Houstonian's.
