I decided to head out this morning to do a little fishing before the rain hit, My weather app read 15-20mph winds and boy it was WINDY! What are some lures this time of year to throw against the high winds? I was throwing a T-rigged Brush hog with few bites but no luck. Thanks guys!

I did actually throw a shallow running crankbait with no takers. Most of bites were on a soft plastic. I didn't have any lures in mind but now I know what to bring next time out!

The size of the profile also makes a big difference. A brush hog is not that aerodynamic. Don't use brush hogs that much but do use lizards and there is quite a distance difference between a lizard and a ring fry cast.

ive found lipless cranks tend to turn on its side and glide through the air, they are very aerodynamic and cast very well in windy conditions, hope this helped

If you're talking about what works best simply to throw into the wind, I would agree with a lipless type bait in 1/2 to 3/4 oz. A spinnerbait is always a good choice on a windy day but not necessarily the best to throw into the wind.

Lipless cranks, and or larger spinnerbait in deep water fishing for the bigger numbers of fished schooled up deep you can see on your fish finder/graph. Count them down to the fish about 1 second per foot and work them back at a slow to medium retrieve pausing ever so often. Most of the fish I have caught doing this are on the larger side of the spectrum............

Spinnerbait. It's hard to feel a bite when throwing anything Texas rig if the wind is whipping. You may have got bit but just not felt it

Jigging spoon. I can throw it further than anything mentioned thus far.
