I remember we drove down and looked at it in mid 80's. Also remember some talk about how could this new lake ever be better than monticello smile I fished it first time 92 I believe.Do tell some early fishing stories that pic is just plain awesome!!!

Thanks y'all. We would go out in the morning and stay till almost dark, too much trouble to get back. Shore lunches were the order of the day, if you could get to the shore. Still fishin that area not as many trees, above water that is.

I fished Toledo Bend when it looked that way. Sure do miss it. I need to get up to Lake Fork. Just been too lazy.

Fished that little creek alot, also used to fish the fence lines out front of the poison gas well
Also fished that whole area at night with a Hilderbrant go-getter # 5 gold colorado blade
those WERE the good old days

I fished lake Palestine in the late70s when it looked like that with all the timber. Fork was under construction in those days with some pre-stocking of ponds that were destined to be flooded. It was closed to fishing then.
