Okay here's my story I grew up camping in a tent with nothing but the tent and blanket and pillow. But in Texas we all know that during the summer time it can be really hot. Well, I got married and tried to get the wife outdoors Well she said not with out an AC So I looked at some people duck taping an AC to their tent that's cool but not my style. I wanted something I didn't have to waste tape and wanted it to look professional. So I went out to a place and they wanted $300 to put a zipper on the tent, I said the hell with that. So I went on line and found a place called the acboot. On a 90 degree day with high humidity it got down to 64 degrees in my tent. I had a 5050 BTU AC. The wife was happy and made me happy. I messaged the owner that I had a hard time finding his product and made a video of it and added it to youtube. He sent us somethings to say thanks. We enjoy camping so much we now own a travel trailer. But just wanted to pass the info on for someone that may want to duck an AC in to their tent for the family. I made something very similar to that for a cabin tent I had. I used a section of an old tarp and contact cemented it to the rear. Designed it in such a way so that the attached flap would cover the hole (velcro on 3 sides) when not in use. It worked fantastic and only cost a few bucks to build.

We tried that once on a dove hunt. Worked great!

How did it hold up in a rain storm?

Nary a drop inside :-)...think shingles.
