want to change my baitcaster to fluoro after fishing some plastics today with mono...I have tried a couple brands and didn't like them. I hate the terrible backlashes with fluoro, along with the abrasions, and break offs but cant stand the stretch of mono . I was looking at either bps or lake forks hybrid line. any recommendations?

InvisX. Why not try braid with a fluro leader-that's just about all I use now except for topwater and jerks.

Sunline sniper. But BPS flouro isn't half bad for the price.
Fight 'em till hell freezes over, then fight 'em on the ice

If you want a low stretch really tough line then consider Pline CXX. Make sure it is CXX. That line is much tougher than most fluorocarbon and lower stretch than many as well. I use INVISX fluorocarbon, Pline CXX mono, and PowerPro braid. It just depends on the application.

Braid with XPS leader has worked good for many years.

I use INVISX fluorocarbon, Pline CXX mono, and PowerPro braid. It just depends on the application. CXX is very strong stuff but it does have memory issues more than some other lines, just wanted you to be aware of that. CXX is also thicker than most other co-polymer lines in the same # test especially when you get into the lighter lines like 12,10,8,and 6. I use CXX and really like it when I need maximum strength in a non fluorocarbon line. In the heavier line like 17 or 20 pound test, I stretch the line before I head out to the lake and that helps quite a bit and you can also use line conditioner on it. McCoys Mean Green is a another co-polymer line that has a very good blend of strength and lack of memory. I like P-Line Halo fluorocarbon line for pitching jigs because like CXX it is very strong, but again it does have some memory. I use Invizx for an all around fluorocarbon. Good blend of strength and very little memory.

Toray Superhard is great fc. I have been really happy with Toray and all the flouro that they offer. Right now Tackle Warehouse has it on sale right now.

You won't find a flouro that handles better than Sunline.

Flouro is definitely the way to go. I used to use XPS exclusively, but about a year ago I tried the Seagar Invizx. I don't buy anything else now. It is awesome.
