Thanks Mike and "CH" for the replies. "CH": Mikes Crappie was HUGE and would have easily gone over two pounds. Did not have the scale handy and he wanted to let the fish go to spawn and fight again.

Awesome.  If you don't mind me asking, do you harvest the fish or release them? To me that just looks like an awesome dinner waiting to happen, or perhaps a killer shore lunch, so I just had to ask!

Thanks "Dmunsie" for the reply. Yes Sir we kept those for the dinner table. As for a fresh shore lunch that is not a bad idea.  Gills,Trout,and Crappie. It just don't get any better!  Oh yea. Channel Cats too!

I don't know of very many places where you can catch six species of fish. Trout,Channel Cats,Redbreast,Bluegill,Redear,and Crappie! No where but the Guadalupe River in Texas!  That river is one heck of a fishery. Nice mess of fish. Those will make one heck of a dinner! Also nice Crappie "USMC_GY".
