Me and a buddy are planning a fishing outing at the end of March. We've both had our fun doing "Panama City Spring Break" trips, and were looking into a fishing outing.

Which lake would ya'll suggest? Also, if ya'll have any recommendations on guides for either lake send me a DM or comment on here. We both have fished for years and have all our equipment. We just are lookin for someone to put us on some fish.

I would give Kurt Dove a call for Amistad.

http://www.amistadbassguide.com/

Here is a list of guides here on Falcon.

Give a few a call and see which one matches your personality the best. I am dang near booked solid at the end of March/beginning of April, but if you want give me a ring and I will certainly steer you in the right direction.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Don't waste your time going to Amistad! Fishing has been very slow for a good while now! Go to falcon!

I speak from experience.....Ive fished eith the majority of guides on Falcon. Most of them numerous times. There are 2 legitimate guides that time and time again have busted their tales to get me big fish. They dont skimp on running the lake to save fuel, are pleasant to fish with, and know the lake. Both will teach you a lot and do everything within their power to both make your trip memorable and put you on quality fish. Their reports are accurate and they wont BS you.

---Jay Greishaw-Highstakesbassin.com-10 lbs or bust on TFF
---Tommy Law-Falcolakeguide.com-Falconer on TFF

Steer clear of local yahoos down there that spew inaccurate information, and boast of accomplishments they had nothing to do with and manipulate the TFF to try and promote their business. Jay and Tommy will get it done for you, or kill themselves trying. Having a website and claiming to be a guide does not make you a legitimate guide.

You wont be disappointed in either guy above. Id hedge toward Jay for the most accurate and precise lake assessment, and most laughs and best conversation possible. Just my $.02, but it is an experienced $.02 regarding Falcon guides. Good luck buddy.

Jay is one of the good guys down there.
If you get the chance, give him a call.
Falcon is a great lake and the folks in Zapata are top-notch.

"Slow ahead." I can go slow ahead. Come on down here and chum some of this [censored].

Falcon right now is your best bet. There are some really great guides here on Falcon. Falcon has a list of Guides on their site. I would call Tommy or James at Falcon Lake tackle for info on guides. Billy is a great guide that has just started his guide business, and will be added to FLT very soon I believe. Stan is a Falcon and Amistad guide that has just started here on Falcon as well and will be added To FLT as well very soon. But back to your post . You only wanted to know which lake and Again Falcon is a better choice right now but come a little closer to March I would for sure check , by making some calls to the local guides or tackle shops and get that info, from good local info. Good luck when you make your trip, Also watch the fishing reports from guides and FLT , we will let you know how the fishing is on a daily report. Falcon Lake Tackle , Jay , Billy and I post almost every day and we tell it like it is.

I fished with Jim Behnkan during a very slow time and he put us on big fish down at Falcon. Can't go wrong with him either.
