This is for the guys that fish it a lot, are there spots in it? State says there is but haven't heard of any coming out of it. And if so must be small number of fish.

There are some. I've seen one win a big bass tournament out there because of the slot. I've never caught one there though.

Close friend has the lake record for spotted bass out of Monti! Joel's fish was a chunky #3.31 if memory serves me. It's on the TP&W website. So yeah, they're in there!

There was a Chupacabra caught in Texas and it was dna tested and its confirmed by the Texas Tech University that its a cross between a Red Wolf and a Coyote
if you want spotted bass running out your ears go the Lake Alan Henry catch all you want and throw them on the bank
spotted are worse than whites or strypers. they have gone thru that lake and eaten most of the perch and minnows and even eating there kind
That Bass dont care if your in a Ranger boat or a metal bathtub with a trolling motor mounted to it if he aint biting neither will do you any good

Yep,
Helped Joel get in touch with the TPWD to verify that it was a spot. Biologist confirmed there at the ramp. True spot and that is what it weighed.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

What do you use to catch them with? I've caught a lots of spots.. all in Georgia.. but best bets for spots are shakey head worms and drop shot plastics. Spots will associate with bait as much as they do structure, so look for balls of bait on the graph and there will be wolf packs of spots near by. If they are suspended.. a jigging spoon will also work well. If they are on the bottom, the soft plastics will do the trick usually. 6" roboworms in Morning Dawn color were killer in Ga. Good luck.

Or come to Rayburn and catch a 100 of them on a drop shot. Too bad the limit is 5 and not unlimited. They are worthless in Texas lakes IMO.
