Not looking for anyones honey hole, but what lures or bait should I start with? Whats a general area should we fish? Btw this will be my second time on the coast. And yes I read the sticky on the top of the page. Thanks for any help.

Depends on what your fishing for but you can't go wrong with fresh dead shrimp, cut mullet/shad and fish bites. All can be used whether you fish from the surf, pier or jetty.

As of today the south jetty was holding a lot of trout. packery park past the main channel in the deeper water was holding a lot of fish as well. On white 1/4oz storm swimbaits and casticas I landed around 100+ fish, the problem is you have to sort through a lot of dinks to find keepers. I only had 12 keepers in the mix. At night try marker 37 or clems, if you have a boat fish the intercoastal with fishbites. Slot Drum are running nicely. Goodluck!

Caught my first redfish last night on a glow shrimp jerkbait. I didnt know those things had teeth! Goin to try some bait tonight.
