Thanks "Acams","Ketchn",and "CanadiYak" for the replies. "Acams": I have not fished that far down. The furthest down I have fished the Guadalupe was in Gonzales. "Ketchn" and "CanadiYak": Nothing beats a HOT plate of good Mexican Food after a cold day of fishing. It don't get any better.

Nice Slabs guys! Myself and Jeff did OK on the far eastern end of the river. Boated 26 keepers in three hours. Kept 12. Got em on the main channel holding by brush piles in 12 to 18 feet of water. Went back the following day and not one fish. Go figure. Side Note: I think the fish are moving from one pile to the other. It's a matter of finding em. Also you can't beat Acapulco for Mexican Food. It's the best.

Thanks "Acams","Ketchn",and "CanadiYak" for the replies. "Acams": I have not fished that far down. The furthest down I have fished the Guadalupe was in Gonzales. Drove over it today on the way home ....... sure looks nice. The place is cleared out and looks like maybe the public can drive down there. I hope so, because I would love to fish it sometime when I am not in a hurry to get home to work.

Thanks "Marine2/3 and Curtis for the replies. Curtis: You are right. One day they are there and the next nothing. Once they decide to settle in on certain piles it will be easier. Right now it will be hit and miss. I have not fished the main lakes yet. "Acams": If you do fish that area of the river PM me and let me know how you do.

Thanks "Gitter" for the reply. So far it has been hit and miss. That is why they call it fishing.

Side Note: You can also never go wrong eating at Acapulco. As I say. Super HOT Mexican Food on a Cold winter day is very hard to beat unless you have a super HOT breakfast of eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, biscuits, and baked apples. Oh yea a good cup of coffee.

Thanks "Crope1" for the reply. Eating a good meal and telling some fishing stories after some time on the water is one thing that makes fishing enjoyable.
