I do, but going to Livingston usually means camping out so I don't get over there very much. Rayburn is a lot closer so I fish there most of the time.

I'd be grateful if you could point me out a couple of place to put in on Rayburn.

Here's a link with all of the boat ramps:

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/sam_rayburn/access.phtml

This time of year I like Pophers Creek. Monterrey and Cassels-Boykin boat ramps are both are both on Pophers Creek cove. Paddle the creek to FM 2109 and you will find a small "pond" next to the road. The pond is a good crappie fishing hole in the spring. Overall, the whole cove is a nice place to fish year round.

The Hwy 103 bridge is another good spot. I love fishing the rip rap. There's a ramp at both ends of the bridge. If the wind's out of the south, put in at Etoile ramp. Out of the north, put in at Ewing. There are old bridge pilings that run the entire length of the existing bridge on the north side. The timber and high lines to the south of the bridge are good too. Try the area around the tower to the far left. The river splits around the tower and one side goes almost up to the bank. Duranzo Creek cove is just around the point from the tower. It's one of the first coves to warm up in the spring.

Or try Calhoun Point. Take Hwy 63 out of Zavalla. Look for the Caney Creek boat ramp sign (next to the Old Concord Church) and turn there. Next to the church is a dirt road. Follow it to the fork and go left. Keep going to the end and you're at Calhoun Point. To the north is the Hwy 147 bridge. To the left of the bridge is Julie Creek Cove. To the south is the Black Forest and lots of bass grass.

Take the road to Caney Creek and you will come to another farm road. It goes to the Black Forest Community. Follow it to the end and it comes to a point across from Caney Creek boat ramp. Or go on down to Caney. The road will end. A paved road goes to the left to the boat ramp or you can continue down the "closed road" which ends at the water. I've caught a lot of nice bass between Calhoun Point and Caney Creek.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!
