Has anyone been out to Fayette in the last couple of days. I was thinking about going down there next Wednesday. Just curious to see if anyone is having any luck.

I went on the first and I only caught one good 6# on a weightless fluke. It was rough everyone I talked to had little luck. First time since I have fished the lake that I didnt get at least 3 at the discharge. I think LCRA in all their infinate wisdom destroyed the fishery due the veggitation Kill.

The cat-tails only had about a half a foot of water in them back then too.

We were there a couple months back and did find some grass right at a drop off. Caught maybe 12 fish right there. But that is some of the only grass we found. Used 1/2 chrome and blue red eye shad and caught them off the flutter fall.

Have not been since but plan on going again soon. I have had good luck with suspending jerk baits there this time of year.

Yes. Coots have killed off most of the grass.

We went yesterday and it was really tough until around 1:00. After that they started biting and we ended up with 30 fish and 24 lbs for the best five. Here's a few of the better ones.

5 lbs 11 oz.

6 lbs 10 oz.
