They were supposed to deliver to Hulen Park in Cleburn today. Anyone know if they made it?

In-Line spinners on a an ultra light set up. We use 6 lb test line, trilene mono. Limted out inside of 90 minutes 3 straight days Sat-Mon.
I bought the power bait and never had a need to open it up.
Nothing bigger than 1/8 oz. and make sure your trebles are not too big.

Be ready for elbow to elbow fishermen, many who left their manners at home. Ultra light rig with small spinners for the most fun. Small hooks baited with crappie nibbles or even corn for the fastest limit. I used salmon eggs when I fished for wild trout in New Mexico if I used bait but salmon eggs isn't necessary for these farm trout as they will bite almost anything. But it is more much more fun using small spinning lures.

Cleburn was jumping this morning, just a few people fishing and the trout were going after the super dupers like crazy. Just about guarantee a fish on every cast there for a while. Fun on ultralight.

Limited out in about an hour and a half this morning right after the truck left. 10"-12" TPWD stocked. Tried the dough bait, but they preferred the orange trout nuggets. I was the only angler there for the first hour. Beautiful day, great fishing.

Using the same size hooks listed here, have had 5 trout (out of 9 caught, across two days) near swallow the hook. Using Berkley PowerBait and/or salmon eggs. Using just a hook and a pinch weight about 10 inches from the hook.
Likely going out on a limb, but any way to prevent this? The pro is that once they hit they are for sure on, but I'd rather have them alive until I got home and I don't enjoy cutting the line so often and having to tie a new hook in the cold.
Guess I'd rather have that issue than not being able to catch them at all.

I like to use an ultralight rod, 4# test line, #12 or 14 treble hook, and a couple of splitshot about 12-18 inches above the hook.
The powerbait trout dough works well with this setup.
I also use a single bait hook around a size 10 with a marshmallow and wax worm.
You don't want the bait on the bottom so you need something that floats like a marshmallow or the floating Berkley Powerbait trout bait.
Hatchery trout are dumb and very easy to catch.

I tried the corn with bopper today and got skunked...think I might have to break down and buy the powerbait for next time.

Headed back to Denison this morning. A layer of ice was showing on parts of the pond. No worries, the Rainbow Trout were still biting at Waterloo. Action was slower compared to yesterday but was steady! Was able to get a limit of five.... Today's Video.

Run a Carolina 2 hook rig with corn,I prefer the frozen over canned, its not been cooked to mush and holds the hook better. Spiderman Zebco's are the preferred rig, they smoked my high end Mitchell The majority of the ponds are to shallow to draw consistent bites up high I tried the corn with bopper today and got skunked...think I might have to break down and buy the powerbait for next time.
