I was headed up 75 today and heard a pop under the hood, at first I thought the belt broke, but after I opened the hood I found a hose connector broke.

Have any of y'all seen this happen? If so is it just old and brittle.

The truck is a 2011 F-250 6.7

Thanks.

Thanks Ronnie, I fixed it myself and yes I heard a pop and then had no power, it happened between Arapaho and Campbell and the ford place is right there, but they only sell the complete hose, not just the part that broke. $160.

You can replace it with a silicone intercooler hose for a fraction of what you paid. I've seen them withstand over 50 pounds of pressure regularly on a HP truck.

yeah its a piece of [censored] design to the point that we keep a spare in each of our company trucks.
H$S offers a replacement, but it requires to removal of the throttle valve assembly and some software modifications to fool the ECU into not looking for the throttle valve actuator.
Its a complete POS. They always break in the same spot, ours are the detuned version C&C trucks @ 300 hp.
