Hey guys, lookin to get my brother a new reel for Christmas.. What are some great reels in the $100-200 range give or take a little. What do you guys think about the New Quantum Energy? Also the white Shimano Chronarch? Give me some ideas!

Thankya much, Clay.

Lews also makes a really good reel at really decent prices.

Fight 'em till hell freezes over, then fight 'em on the ice

Lews Tournament MG - Solid performer, smooth and good distance - $130
Daiwa Tatula - very smooth, almost flawless - $150
Pinnacle Optimus XLT - feel the quality when you hold it, very smooth, flipping switch to engage reel with thumb. Actually useful if you switch hands when you cast. - $180

Can't go wrong with Lews... I like some Abu reels too but I'm switching all my reels to Lews. They cast a mile and are silky smooth!
